Currently, the IT department consists of nearly 1,300 employees, where the IT security section provides support for development and management, is responsible for conducting security tests, audits, and follow-ups of IT security.
Job Description
As a group manager, you report to the section manager for IT security and are part of the section's management team, where you collectively are responsible for ensuring that assignments are carried out and driving the authority's change and development work. You have particular responsibility for the group's operations and its results. As a group manager, you represent the entire Police Authority both internally and externally and work to strengthen trust in police operations.
As the head of the IT and Information Security group, you are responsible for:
- Leading and developing a group of specialists in IT and information security
- Being a role model by combining leadership and specialist competence
Your strategic work involves:
- Leading the development and implementation of strategies, goals, and regulations to ensure a long-term sustainable and effective information security work
- Managing and developing the management system for information security (LIS) and existing processes
- Managing and further developing the group's existing work with IT security requirements
- You have an overview of the status of information security within the Police that can be used to direct future work
Being a manager and leader within the Police Authority means creating security and building trust by exercising sincere, courageous, and attentive leadership with trust in others' competence and ability. As a manager, you drive development by inspiring and encouraging reflection and feedback in a way that is based on following the law and treating people equally. You create conditions and work for good relationships that contribute to us acting together based on what is best for citizens and the assignment as a whole.
Qualifications
This is an opportunity for you who have:
- At least 3 years of continuous experience working in a managerial position within IT, preferably as a manager or another role, such as product owner, project manager, or similar (within the last five years)
- Several years of experience in information security and IT security
- Relevant academic degree in IT, or equivalent acquired experience that the Police Authority assesses as equivalent
- Experience in leading and participating in change and development work
- Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
- Swedish citizenship
We consider it an advantage if you also have:
- Experience in development within the IT field
- Experience in analysis based on the Security Protection Act with a focus on IT and Information Security
- Experience in signal protection
- Experience in leading others towards set goals and results
- Management and leadership training
- Experience in a management team
- Experience working in a larger company or authority

Employment
- Permanent employment with the function of group manager
- The employment may begin with a six-month probationary period
- Location: Stockholm
